Funny Puppet Show Script


 
The Treehouse Time CD comes with a script file for you to print out and 13 rehearsal, background, and sound efx tracks for use with the script.  Join Pola (the Polar Bear) and her friends as they learn about God’s love and being important to God.

This play runs about twenty minutes and is written for puppet teams who are looking to use their puppets (and Puppetumes™) in novel ways along with other creative arts in tandem.  This view into the Treehouse includes making a balloon animal, using a puppet with legs out in front of the audience (or not, depending on your desires), a card trick, use of a volunteer from the audience (if you want), two songs and plenty of funny business sprinkled throughout.

This program is written as a twenty minute multi-faceted puppet show with live actors, puppets and Puppetumes™.  It can easily be performed as written with your own combination of puppets, actors or Puppetumes™ (if you have them!).  Your audience will laugh with delight as the host, Gellen, Pola and the rest of the gang make balloon animals, perform magic tricks, sing songs, and bring audience volunteers up on stage at the Treehouse.  Lessons about being important to an all-knowing and ever-present God permeate the show.  Two versions of the script are included - one with a mixed cast and the other "Puppetized" to eliminate any need for a human M.C.

We suggest using this one show as a sort of template for Sunday School presentations.  Once you perform this one Treehouse Time you will have an example of how to write scripts for the same characters and include other fun visuals to augment the puppet show for future performances.  

Here is the suggested cast as the script is written for mixed cast:

2 Boy or Girl Puppets
