It is part of a series of puppets called “Little People†that were first manufactured in 1980. Previous designs that pre-date these were known as “Children Puppets†and were covered in terry cloth fabric and used snaps for arm rod attachments. This line of characters went through several improvements over the years and later grew to include puppets that looked like mini adult puppets as well. (Hence, the name “Little Peopleâ€.) This puppet is outfitted with an interior mouth grip technology called a Handi-Sphereâ„¢ through exclusive contract with David Pannabecker Designs.
